Although Sri Lanka is currently going through a severe financial and economic crisis, women entrepreneurs trained under the WDC’s economic empowerment projects have been actively continuing their production. In order to support and create a market for these products, the WDC conducts a trade fair in front of the Kandy City Centre – KCC every month.
All products of entrepreneurs attached to Sthree as well as the WDC Vocational Training Centre for youth with disabilities and the shelter for survivors of Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) are available for purchase at our stall. All income made through the sales go back to the entrepreneur or the producer, therefore through your purchase you will be directly supporting our beneficiaries.
